The first stop on our 14 hour flight from LAX was Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. A short stopover on the journey to New Delhi.

We experienced the entire flight in darkness as we flew westward backward in time. As we crossed the International Dateline, Sunday vanished in a flash and we disembarked to await the next leg to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

By not understanding the variances in time zones before we left, much to our surprise we are now having a 6 hour layover in Kuala Lumpur. When we get to New Delhi we will have been in transit 36 hours. Lauren is now flying eastward on Emirates Airlines and her total elaspsed time will be 23 hours. Lauren definitely got the better end of the deal.
